Confirmation of Studies
A confirmation of studies is a document issued by a school or another legal entity to its students. The confirmation proves that you are a student of the particular school and you need it, e.g., when applying for a long-term visa for the purpose of studies or a long-term residence permit for the purpose of studies. When applying for an employee card it may also serve as a proof of free access to the labour market.
The confirmation must include:
- Name and main address of the entity (school)
- Signature of an authorised person
- Entity’s stamp
- Place and date when the confirmation was issued
The confirmation must also include some important information about you:
- First and last name
- Citizenship
- Date of birth
- Expected length of the study stay in the Czech Republic
- Name or type of the study programme including the form of studies (e.g. full-time, part-time, distance studies or the number of class hours per week).
- Also, if applicable, a note that the studies are carried out under an exchange programme.
The confirmation of studies attached to a long-term visa application for the purpose of studies or a long-term residence visa application for the purpose of studies must be an original or in a form of a certicied copy.
